Watersports
From kayaking to surfing, Maui is a hub for all things watersports. And why wouldn’t it be? With our exquisite beaches and stunning waters, there’s an activity for every desire and experience level. For an adrenaline-pumping feat, consider riding some of our world-renowned waves. Kick it up a notch by trying your hand at windsurfing! For more leisurely activities, we love to take in the view from an outrigger canoe or kayak. In the mornings, when the water is calm, venturing out on a stand-up paddleboard is an excellent way to connect with your surroundings and take a moment to appreciate the beauty of your surroundings.
Eco-Tourism
Maui’s unique environment is a haven for outdoor adventurers. Whether you’re hiking native rainforests or exploring our watersheds, there are so many things to see on your Hawaiian vacation. When you’re looking for eco-friendly adventures, there are a number of guided tours that will help you see the sights while also ensuring you leave no trace. Protecting our sacred lands is of the utmost importance. For some recommended eco-tours, check out the Honolua Ridge Hike, or the Pu’u Kukui Preserve. You can also summit Haleakala and catch a peek at the state bird and beautiful Hawaiian flora.
Entertainment
Whether you’re attending a luau, one of our many outdoor festivals, or even a sunset cruise, there are plenty of entertainment options on your Maui vacation. Visit the Maui Ocean Center, or, if you’re visiting November – May, book a whale-watching cruise. You can also rent a car and drive the breathtaking road to Hana, stopping along the way to check out local businesses, restaurants, and farms.
