Experience an immersive journey into the world of black coral divers with the screening of the documentary, Black Coral, at the "Movies at the Old Prison" event. On Saturday, June 24th, join us at 7pm at the historic Old Lāhainā Prison to delve into the stories of these daring divers.
Black Coral, a 2016 creation of the Brothers Winn, presents an intimate view of a select group of audacious watermen who braved the depths and dangers of the Auʻau Channel to gather this precious coral. Unveiling its narrative through touching interviews with the divers, the documentary paints a vivid picture of this perilous yet fascinating endeavor.
