Experience the harmonious sounds of Hawaiian music at one of Maui's beloved and free events, welcoming people of all ages and visitors alike. The event will feature some of Hawai'i's finest slack key guitar players, including the likes of Kevin Brown, Nāmaka Cosma, John Cruz, Makana, Anthony Pfluke, among others.

Slack key guitar, or Kī hō`alu in Hawaiian, which means "loosen the key," refers to the unique tuning technique used in this music style. This rich tradition traces its roots back to the 19th-century paniolo (Hawaiian cowboys), who would play these soothing tunes around the campfire after a day's work. Over time, slack key has gained global recognition as a remarkable acoustic guitar technique, and it was even once acknowledged as a separate category in the Grammy Awards.

Refreshments will be available for purchase at the event, including a variety of food and beverages from multiple vendors. Please note that bringing your own food and beverages is not permitted.
